1、 Engine cylinder sealing test
There are seven factors that affect cylinder sealing, mainly including cylinder wear, piston ring damage, piston wear, valve seat damage, valve guide wear, cylinder gasket damage, valve clearance, and other issues.
What are the commonly used diagnostic methods: mainly measuring cylinder pressure, crankcase blow by volume, cylinder leakage volume and leakage rate, measuring the vacuum degree of the intake pipe, vibration measurement of abnormal noise caused by excessive wear of the cylinder piston group, and determining the particle content of worn metal in the crankcase.
For the measurement of cylinder compression pressure, it mainly refers to the pressure at the end of compression in a four stroke engine. Due to factors such as the pressure of the cylinder, the viscosity of the oil, and the coordination of the cylinder piston group, the adjustment of the valve train is correct, and the sealing of the cylinder gasket is affected. Therefore, when measuring the pressure of the engine cylinder, the sealing condition of the cylinder piston group can be diagnosed. If the sealing of the piston ring, valve, and cylinder gasket is good, then the clearance of the valve must be appropriate.
2、 Sounder firmness testing
The muffler consists of an outer cylinder and an internal honeycomb component, which are combined together by mechanical fastening technology due to the special environment of high temperature, vibration, etc. As is well known, the quality of this process depends on the precision of its design. If it is not firmly combined, it may become loose or detached during automotive use due to factors such as high temperature and vibration. However, it can be assured that the relevant quality department has already put forward quite strict requirements for this technical aspect.
For actual testing methods in the industry, universal material testing machines are used as testing tools, and compression disc fixtures are used to subject the two components of the muffler to relevant shear forces from top to bottom. The repeatability error of the measured results should be less than 5%.
3、 Interior inspection
The interior includes materials for seat formation, interior box decoration, and adhesive bonding. Mainly tested for its safety: 1. Gas harmfulness 2. Flame retardancy.
